the world's largest cupcake.....yum!













The world’s largest cupcake was unveiled this weekend at a car show in Michigan. Weighing in at 1,224-pounds, this triple vanilla delight with pink frosting, beat the former record holder eight times over!! It took 12 hours to bake and included 800 eggs and 200 pounds each of sugar and flour....at an estimated 2 million calories, it sounds pretty delicious to me.

The mastermind behind this sugary beast was Ryan Abood of GourmetGiftBaskets.com who assembled a cupcake "dream team" including baker George Algarin and crew from California's Merengue Bakery. Slices were sold to raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer organization.
